# Kuwait restaurant delivery downtime: July 2026 benchmark > In July 2026, restaurant listings in Kuwait were offline for 0.54 percent of their stated trading hours, the lowest rate among the markets Kitchain reports for that month (UAE 1.68 percent, Saudi Arabia 2.88 percent). Source: Kitchain monitoring of listings on Talabat, Deliveroo, Jahez, Keeta and Snoonu, 1.26 million monitored trading hours. A listing is one restaurant location on one delivery platform. Full report: https://kitchain.co/kuwait-delivery-downtime-report/ ## Downtime rate by platform (share of stated trading hours offline, July 2026) - Snoonu: 1.88 percent (mean incident 23 minutes) - Deliveroo: 0.55 percent (mean incident 2 h 03 min) - Jahez: 0.28 percent (mean incident 10 h 39 min) - Keeta: 0.11 percent (mean incident 1 h 12 min) - Talabat: 0.09 percent (mean incident 36 min) The platforms fail in opposite ways: Snoonu shows many short interruptions, Jahez rare but very long ones. Two of the five platforms entered this market recently, so their figures cover a shorter trading history than the others. Snoonu also accounts for roughly nine in ten of all offline incidents in the panel, so the blended mean incident length of 32 minutes describes Snoonu more than it describes Kuwait. The per platform means above are the ones to use. ## Distribution across listings - Zero downtime: 39.1 percent of listings - Under 1 hour: 24.3 percent - 1 to 5 hours: 13.0 percent - 5 to 20 hours: 18.3 percent - Over 20 hours: 5.3 percent ## Timing and the 22 July event - 53 percent of unexpected offline incidents began between 17:00 and 23:00 local time (5,174 of 9,852 timestamped starts), busiest hour 20:00. A secondary cluster of 37 percent began between 09:00 and 13:00. Unlike the UAE and Saudi panels, late night starts were not dominant. - A single day in July 2026 produced 1,149 lost trading hours, 17 percent of the month's total, from only 376 incidents: a few simultaneous long outages rather than ordinary churn. Because of this event, no weekday breakdown is presented for a single month. - Failures to open on schedule were rare: 124 in July (72 did not come online within the check window, 52 opened late). ## Recurrence Of the listings with any downtime, 23 percent went offline on 5 or more separate days (14 percent of all listings measured). 38 percent of affected listings had downtime on 2 to 4 days, 39 percent on a single day. ## Methodology Outside-in monitoring: Kitchain reads the same public storefront page a customer opens. Each listing is checked on a repeating cycle around the clock, about every 10 minutes. Downtime is counted only inside the location's stated trading hours (a store closed on schedule is not an incident). Overnight schedules are handled: for a store trading past midnight the early morning hours belong to its stated window, and an outage is capped at the window's end. Incidents are confirmed by a repeat check. No point of sale integration, no marketplace login, no platform API access. ## Scope and limitations - Coverage: Kuwait, 1 to 31 July 2026, listings on 5 platforms. - The panel is the set of restaurants monitored by Kitchain, not a random sample of the whole Kuwaiti market. - All figures are aggregates. No individual restaurant or brand data is disclosed. Availability only. - Figures are refreshed as new full months close. Last update: 26 August 2026.
