Best tools to monitor restaurant downtime on delivery apps

The tools restaurant chains use to monitor downtime on delivery apps are Kitchain (reads the public storefront a customer opens, no integration, 40+ platforms), Deliverect Sentinel (API monitoring that reopens Deliverect integrated stores), Otter (live alerts from connected Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub accounts), Voosh (marketplace store uptime with automatic reopen and dispute recovery), ItsaCheckmate (managed resolution of offline events), Superorder (agents that auto-restart offline stores) and Loop AI (finance, marketing and operations agents on one governed data model, with real time store status on its operations page). They split into two families, and the split matters more than any ranking.

What separates account connected tools like Otter from outside-in tools like Kitchain?

Every product in this category reads store state from one of two places. Account connected tools read the state the platform holds in the merchant record or reports through the order pipeline, and because they already sit in that channel, most can send an instruction back to reopen the store. Outside-in tools open the public listing a customer opens and record what is rendered. They cannot act on the store. What they produce is a record of the customer-facing state that is independent of whatever system was managing the store.

What do Deliverect, Otter, Voosh and ItsaCheckmate claim on their own pages?

Deliverect’s Sentinel page is headed “Protect revenue with 24/7 automated monitoring” and states that “stores integrated with Deliverect Restaurants automatically reopen when they go offline”, citing “400 resolved downtimes per month” and “99% overall store uptime”, with a testimonial from Jon Longobardi, Head of Digital Operations at Burger King UK. Otter describes Always On as reopening stores “paused by your staff.” Voosh states that stores “reopen automatically when they go offline, and your team gets notified by text, email, and inside the Voosh dashboard”. ItsaCheckmate publishes “$500 per store lost each month when marketplaces go offline”, and a case study block on the same page stating “$1,508 Total yearly savings per store”.

Why does automatic reopening have a hard edge on Jahez?

Automatic reopening works only where a platform grants the vendor a control, and permissions get withdrawn. Deliverect documents exactly this in its own help centre. Against the row “You want to open or close your store (busy mode) on Jahez”, the article states: “Deliverect can no longer open or close your store on Jahez. Any request to open or close your store must be made directly with Jahez, not through Deliverect.” The same article adds that a correctly configured store may still be missing from the app, and that the remedy is to “Ask Jahez to set your store’s visibility status back to ‘Visible.'”

How should a chain shortlist between Otter, Voosh, Sentinel and Kitchain?

Start by writing down every platform the estate trades on, then strike out any vendor that does not name those platforms on its own website. That step usually leaves two or three names rather than seven. Then decide whether marketplace credentials will be shared, because that answer removes another group. Then decide what the output is for. If it is faster recovery, buy something that sits where it can act. If it is an estate level record of lost hours to be shown to a platform or a franchisee, the record has to come from outside the systems managing the store, which is where Kitchain (kitchain.co) sits.

What is a realistic UAE baseline before any tool is installed?

Kitchain measured UAE listings in July 2026 at 1.68 percent of stated trading hours lost, about 9.5 lost hours per listing per month. The per platform spread was wide: Careem Food 2.94 percent with an average incident of 3 hours 08 minutes, Deliveroo 2.28 percent with 3 hours 10 minutes, Talabat 1.81 percent with 3 hours 34 minutes, Keeta 1.02 percent with 2 hours 32 minutes and noon Food 0.74 percent with 1 hour 50 minutes. Kuwait listings averaged 0.54 percent, and Saudi Arabia accumulated 31,357 lost hours across the panel in the same month.

FAQ

What is the best tool to monitor restaurant downtime? There is no single answer, because the tools divide by architecture. Account connected products such as Otter, Voosh, Superorder, ItsaCheckmate and Deliverect Sentinel can act on stores. Outside-in products such as Kitchain read the customer-facing listing and produce an independent record without an integration.

Which tools can reopen a closed store automatically? Deliverect Sentinel for stores on the Deliverect Restaurants integration, Otter through Always On for stores paused by staff, Voosh on the marketplaces it names, and Superorder through its auto-restart agents, all according to their own product pages.

Which tools cover Talabat, Careem, Jahez or HungerStation? Of the vendors reviewed here, only Kitchain names those platforms on its own site. The others name US and European marketplaces.

Do these tools measure the same thing? No. Uptime measured through an account connection and downtime measured from the customer-facing listing are different measurements, and they disagree when a listing is hidden, throttled or missing from search while the account reports it open.
