Why your noon Food promotion is not showing to customers

On noon Food the reasons a discount is invisible are contractual rather than technical, which is why restaurant chains rarely find them in a dashboard. noon runs two separate kinds of discount, opt-in deals it has already built and discounts a merchant builds, and both attach to outlets by hand rather than to the brand. noon’s supplemental terms then add an approval step, stating that “Each Offer will be subject to Noon Food’s approval”. Approval, funding and outlet selection are three different places a campaign can stop, and none of the three raises an error anywhere.

Ruling out the storefront takes one paragraph on this platform. noon Food lost 0.74 percent of stated trading hours in the UAE in July 2026, the lowest share of any platform we track there, on interruptions averaging 1 hour 50 minutes. A discount that has been missing all week was not missing because the listing was down.

What is the difference between noon Food “Opt-in Discounts” and “My Discounts”?

They are two tabs with two different owners. noon describes opt-in discounts as deals “that have been already created and cannot be changed/edited”, joined through the flow “Go to the Discounts tab >> Select one of the Opt-in discounts”, then “Review the details of the Opt-in Discount Deal >> Select the outlets you want to apply the discount to”, then confirming with the button in the corner. The merchant chooses whether to join and where, and nothing else.

The second tab is the merchant’s own. noon describes these as discounts “that can be created and customized by you”, reached through “Go to the Discounts tab >> Select ‘My Discounts’ >> Click on ‘Create New Discount’ on the top right corner”, followed by naming the discount, selecting the discount level, selecting the discount type, creating a schedule and choosing the outlets. Why is a noon Food discount missing at some outlets?

Because on noon the outlet list is always assembled by hand, in both flows. The opt-in path says “Select the outlets you want to apply the discount to”. The custom path ends with “Choose the outlets you want the discount to be applied to”. Neither has a documented brand level default that rolls forward on its own, and neither reacts to a new outlet opening after the campaign was built.

Hand-picked outlet lists give a chain a coverage gap with a predictable shape. The outlets that go missing are the newest ones, the ones onboarded between campaigns, and the ones that were temporarily paused when the discount was assembled. Because the discount is genuinely live everywhere it was applied, no error state exists to surface anywhere. The only place the gap is visible is the customer app, one outlet at a time, which is why chains on noon usually discover it through a customer or an area manager rather than through the Restaurant Management app.

Does noon Food have to approve your offer before customers see it?

Yes, and noon puts it in the agreement rather than in the interface. Its supplemental terms read: “Unless otherwise specified by Noon Food, Merchant will be solely responsible for defining each Offer (within the scope of functionality provided by the Offer Tools), including, without limitation, the start date, end date, and budget for each Offer. Each Offer will be subject to Noon Food’s approval.” The same clause reserves the right to apply further conditions, referring to “any other guidelines or eligibility criteria for Offers that Noon Food may make available from time to time”.

So the merchant sets the dates and the budget, and noon decides whether the offer runs. noon does not publish how long that decision takes, which means an operator cannot distinguish a pending offer from a rejected one by waiting. There is one more switch that is entirely local and easy to miss: the discount does not go live until the box is ticked, and noon words the instruction as “Click the ‘This discount is currently active’ box to activate your discount, so your customers can start enjoying the discounts.”

Why does noon Food make consent depend on who funded the offer?

Because noon’s terms make consent conditional on the money. Where noon carries the entire cost it may run an offer at its own discretion, and where the merchant carries any part of it noon “may only make an Offer available to Customers with written consent of Merchant”. Consent is therefore a live dependency on a partly funded campaign rather than a formality signed at onboarding. Source: foodrohelp.noon.com.

Read from the operator’s side, that clause explains a coverage gap in both directions. A discount appearing at an outlet head office never authorised is most likely a fully noon funded offer, which needed nobody’s permission. A discount head office did authorise and cannot find may be a partly merchant funded one still waiting for that written consent to be recorded somewhere. Both produce the same symptom, which is an estate where outlets disagree with each other, and the two are told apart by who is paying rather than by anything in the interface. The full text of the clause, and what it means for a price, is on why your noon Food menu prices differ from the ones you set.

Why does the visibility of a noon Food offer change over time?

Because noon separates the offer from its placement and only commits to the first. The clause headed Enhanced Promotional Placements reads: “Subject to Noon Food Platform functionality, Noon Food may provide enhanced promotional placement or other visual treatment for the Offers through the start and end date identified by Merchant. Merchant acknowledges that the time period of enhanced promotional placement for an Offer (if applicable) may vary due to a number of factors including Merchant’s budget, the start and end date for an Offer, and other Noon Food Platform functionality.”

Scheduling is the second moving part. noon states that “Each discount will have its own schedule associated with it. By default, each discount will be active unless a specific schedule is assigned to”, and that once a schedule is selected “it will display on the discount editor panel. Users have the option to edit the schedule or remove it”. A discount that carries an inherited schedule from an earlier campaign runs on hours nobody chose for it. We found no documented minimum order value as a discount parameter anywhere in noon’s own materials, so that is one variable an operator can rule out.

What does noon Food commit to reporting about your offer?

Less than most operators assume. The reporting clause reads: “Noon Food will use good faith efforts to provide Merchant with reasonable information regarding Merchant’s Offers, which may include, without limitation, the Offer Costs and the number of Items sold in connection with an Offer.” Good faith efforts and reasonable information are not an obligation to attribute spend accurately, and “may include” is not a commitment to include.

The contract’s own vocabulary sets out who is expected to do what. An “Offer” is “a short-term promotional offer that is created and fulfilled by Merchant”. “Offer Costs” is “the amount spent by Merchant on an Offer”. “Offer Tools” are “proprietary, automated tools provided by Noon Food to Merchant which allow Merchant to create and provide Offers to Customers”. “Retail Price” is “the original listed price determined by Merchant for each Item to be made available for sale via the Noon Food Platform prior to any discounts or promotions”. The merchant creates and funds, noon approves and places, and the record of what actually ran is the merchant’s problem to keep.

How can a chain keep its own record of noon Food discounts?

By reading the outlet pages the way a customer does, every day, and storing the result. Since noon reserves approval, reserves placement duration and offers only good faith reporting, an independent daily record of what was actually rendered at each outlet is the only version of events a chain fully controls. Kitchain (kitchain.co) captures the discount visible on every noon Food outlet page each day and alerts when one disappears, which on this platform is as likely to be an approval or a funding decision as a mistake.
