Monitor Your Restaurants on Jahez

Jahez is the Saudi-born, Saudi Exchange-listed delivery app that serves restaurants in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait as of August 2026. Founded in Riyadh in 2016, it now covers 100 Saudi cities, and the group behind it handled 111.6 million orders in 2025. This page sets out its markets, ownership and partner tools, and how Kitchain monitors a chain's Jahez listings from the outside, as a customer sees them.

About Jahez

Jahez started delivering in Riyadh in September 2016 and became the first homegrown Saudi start-up to list, floating on the Nomu parallel market in January 2022 at a SAR 8.9 billion market capitalisation before transferring to the main market (TASI) in December 2024. There is no external parent: the listed company, Jahez International Company for Information Systems Technology, owns the app, the Logi delivery fleet, the Marn POS business, the Co cloud-kitchen unit and, since October 2025, 76.56% of Qatar's Snoonu. As of 31 December 2025 Alamat International Company held 26.70% and Tharwa Holding 7.16%, with the rest split between institutional and individual investors.

The scale is Gulf-wide but Saudi-heavy. The group reported 4.6 million active users and more than 54,000 merchant branches at the end of 2025, and the Jahez app covers 100 Saudi cities and more than 95% of the Kingdom's population. Jahez Bahrain launched in June 2022; Jahez Kuwait ran as a pilot from January 2023 before its full commercial launch that spring. Delivery is platform-managed: more than 50,000 freelance delivery partners work alongside the group's own Logi fleet of over 4,000 sponsored drivers.

The last two years have been about defending share. Meituan's Keeta entered Saudi Arabia in late 2024 with free-delivery pricing, and the promotional response pushed Jahez into its first loss-making quarter in Q4 2025, with further losses in the first half of 2026 even as Saudi orders rebounded 19.6% quarter on quarter in Q2. For restaurant partners this shows up as a heavier promotional calendar, a fast-growing in-app advertising business (SAR 42.7 million of revenue in Q2 2026, up 122%), a new points-based loyalty programme and, in Kuwait, a second group app, Snoonu, trading alongside Jahez since May 2026.

Where Jahez operates

As of August 2026 the Jahez-branded app delivers restaurant food in three Gulf countries: the Saudi core business run by the listed company itself, plus two wholly owned subsidiaries – Jahez Bahrain (Jahez International Company W.L.L.) and Jahez Kuwait (Jahez International Company for Wholesale & Retail Trading). Partner self-registration on jahez.net is offered for Saudi Arabia only; Bahrain and Kuwait onboard restaurants through their local entities. Jahez's Saudi delivery platforms produced about 54% of group net revenue in H1 2026.

Kitchain on Jahez: six monitors, one outside-in method

Kitchain reads the same public Jahez pages a customer opens. There is no partner-portal login, no API key and no point-of-sale integration: you give us one listing per location, and each monitor reads what the customer is shown. Availability is checked about every 10 minutes per listing; ratings, promotions and menus are captured daily; listing position is measured at set times of day from real addresses; delivery coverage is captured for the platform and hour you book.

Jahez downtime and availability alerts: Kitchain Alert

Live on Jahez

Jahez downtime is invisible from the kitchen: the J Restaurant order app is running, yet the listing a customer opens in the Food tab shows the branch closed, drops it from search or will not take a basket. Jahez shows a restaurant's operating hours to customers, so a schedule never updated after Ramadan keeps a branch closed in the app while staff wait for orders. Kitchain Alert opens each Jahez listing about every 10 minutes, 24/7, and alerts by Email, WhatsApp or Telegram, typically 10–20 minutes after the branch goes offline, once a confirmation check has ruled out a momentary blink.

Every outage is logged per branch from first detection to recovery, and a daily report at 10:00 local time ranks the worst branches. Kitchain cannot reopen a Jahez listing; it gives you the evidence that it was down. Jahez is one of the platforms Alert already covers; market benchmarks are in Kitchain's KSA delivery downtime report and Kuwait delivery downtime report.

Jahez rating tracking: Kitchain Rating

Live on Jahez

Since late 2025 Jahez restaurant listings also appear inside noon's Saudi app, so one kitchen is judged through two front doors, each with its own score. Kitchain Rating collects the Jahez rating and the review count each listing publicly displays, daily, per branch, and builds the history – so a branch that slides for two months without any single day looking alarming still has a dated start.

The review count decides how hard that rating is to move: 300 reviews absorb a bad week, 30 do not, so a new branch and an established one need different answers to the same drop. The comparison across platforms matters too: the same kitchen rated visibly lower on HungerStation than on Jahez is usually a courier or packaging story, not a chef story. Kitchain reads only what the public listing shows: it does not collect or reply to review text, and it cannot change a rating.

Jahez promotion monitoring: Kitchain Promo

Connected on request

Restaurants enrol in Jahez discounts and offers themselves, through the Jahez for Owners dashboard and the group's harmonised platform tools: about 2,889 of the roughly 8,020 restaurants registered on those tools had self-enrolled in campaigns by Q2 2026. Platform-wide events such as Ramadan, Mystery Box and Daily Calls run over the top, and sponsored placement is sold to merchants separately, priced per click. What head office cannot see is whether the offer it configured is the offer a customer sees: a 20% discount displayed as 10%, a branch missing from a campaign it joined, or free delivery that vanished after a menu edit.

Kitchain Promo captures the promotions visible on each Jahez listing once a day per branch, on the same visit as the availability check, reports what appeared, disappeared or changed value, and benchmarks what competing restaurants show in the same area. Jahez promotion monitoring is connected on request: tell us the cities and brands.

Where you rank in the Jahez listing: Kitchain Visibility

Jahez opens on a Food tab of restaurant cards, and since H1 2026 the group has run personalised ads inside search results, so what a customer sees first is partly bought and partly earned – and it differs street by street. Head office sees a city; a customer in one Riyadh district sees a first screen of cards, and a brand on the second screen might as well be closed for that neighbourhood. Kitchain Visibility measures your position in the Jahez listing from saved map points at set times of day, in the city's timezone, across the whole feed and within your cuisine, and records the competitor cards above you with their rating, promotion, quoted delivery time and fee.

This is the platform's own ordering, not Google, and Kitchain does not buy or influence placement – it shows where you land and whether a paid placement moved you. Visibility is set up per account for the cities and platforms you name, and the measurement points are yours to choose.

Jahez delivery coverage by district: Kitchain Coverage

In Saudi Arabia Jahez promises roughly 30-minute delivery, prices it by distance, and its own Logi fleet carried about 40% of deliveries by Q4 2025. In Kuwait it launched a merchant delivery model with a major account in 2025; from 1 September 2026 platforms there must allow merchant self-delivery at no more than 10% commission. Its delivery-radius rules are not published, so the only way to learn which districts can order from a branch, and what delivery time they see, is to stand there and look.

That is what Kitchain Coverage does: a capture you book for a chosen hour, drawn against a monthly allowance, records zone by zone the Jahez delivery coverage a brand actually has, and the delivery time the app quotes. It is not continuous and sends no alerts – a Friday-dinner capture answers a Friday-dinner question – and the quoted time is what Jahez shows, not the real one. Coverage is configured per account: name the Jahez cities and the hours that matter.

Frequently asked questions

What does Kitchain need to start monitoring a Jahez branch?

One Jahez restaurant ID or listing URL per branch, and the opening hours you expect the listing to show. Setup takes about 10 minutes with no integrations: Kitchain never signs in to J Restaurant, Jahez for Owners, a Foodics or Marn POS, or any partner portal. It opens the same public listing a customer opens.

My brand is on both Jahez and Snoonu in Kuwait. Is that one listing or two?

Two. Snoonu has run in Kuwait as a separate group app since May 2026, with restaurant delivery live by August 2026 on the back of Jahez's merchant base. Each app has its own listing, hours, menu and rating and can go offline on its own, so Kitchain treats them as two platforms for the same branch.

Can Kitchain tell me why a Jahez branch went offline?

It tells you when the branch went offline, when it came back and how long it lasted, with start, end and duration timestamps per branch. Tracing whether the cause was a switched-off J Restaurant device or a Jahez-side incident is your team's job; the timestamped record is what a compensation claim to Jahez rests on.

Which competitors can Kitchain benchmark a Jahez branch against?

Two kinds. Within Jahez, Promo and Visibility record the restaurant brands a customer sees next to yours in the same area, with their discounts, rating, quoted time and fee. Across platforms, Kitchain also monitors HungerStation, Keeta, Careem, ToYou, Ninja, Talabat, Deliveroo and Snoonu, so a branch's uptime and rating on Jahez can be set against the same branch elsewhere.

Facts about Jahez are as of August 2026 and drawn from public company and press sources. Markets, ownership and partner tools change; confirm with Jahez before relying on them. Kitchain is independent of Jahez and reads only its public customer-facing pages.
