Monitor Your Restaurants on Swiggy in India
Swiggy is India's second-largest food delivery marketplace, run by Bengaluru-based Swiggy Limited, and as of August 2026 India is still the only country it has ever operated in. This page sets out the facts a chain needs and explains how Kitchain monitors Swiggy listings from the outside, exactly as a customer sees them.

About Swiggy
Swiggy launched food delivery in 2014 and has never operated outside India. For a chain that means the whole estate sits in one timezone, one currency and one partner portal, so a national picture is a single view rather than a reconciliation. It also sets the exposure: food delivery GOV reached INR 9,490 crore in the quarter to June 2026, from 19.2 million monthly transacting food users, and every order is carried by Swiggy's own gig fleet rather than by your drivers, so the couriers, the quoted times and much of what moves a rating belong to a network the chain does not control.
For a chain, Swiggy runs through partner.swiggy.com and the Swiggy Partner App, which handles orders, menu edits, prices and add-ons, ratings and complaints, payouts and self-serve discount and ad tools, with a consolidated snapshot for multi-outlet operators. In August 2026 Swiggy added Guru, an AI assistant inside the app for ad campaigns, payout reports and menu editing. Swiggy publishes no commission rate card, describing its food revenue as pre-agreed commissions plus advertising; Bengaluru restaurateurs quoted 20–30% per order in August 2026 and put the effective deduction at 40–60% once ads, long-distance levies and Swiggy One fees are counted. None of that deduction is visible on the customer's card, which shows only what the app chooses to show.
Second place shapes what an outage costs. Eternal (Zomato) took over 58% of food-delivery GOV in the June 2026 quarter, so an hour lost on a Swiggy listing is the hardest hour to win back: the customer who cannot order opens the other app. Relations with restaurants are strained too, with Bengaluru associations threatening a boycott over commissions, ad charges and unapproved discounts. Kitchain sits outside all of this, as it does for every platform in the aggregator catalogue. It opens the same public Swiggy pages a customer opens, checks that each outlet is orderable and records what the listing shows, without ever touching the Partner App.
Where Swiggy operates
As of August 2026 Swiggy operates food delivery in exactly one country, India, and it has never launched anywhere else. Coverage inside that single market is not uniform: Bolt 10-minute delivery runs in 700+ cities and the 99 Store in 500+, so which speed and value tiers an outlet can be part of depends on where it trades.
| Country | Since | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| India | 2014 | Only market; 720+ cities, 270,000+ restaurant partners |
Swiggy has never operated outside India, so as of August 2026 there are no exited markets; the Genie and Snacc shutdowns were product lines, not countries.
Kitchain on Swiggy: six monitors, one outside-in method
Kitchain reads the same public Swiggy pages a customer opens. There is no partner-portal login, no API key and no point-of-sale integration: you give us one listing per location, and each monitor reads what the customer is shown. Availability is checked about every 10 minutes per listing; ratings, promotions and menus are captured daily; listing position is measured at set times of day from real addresses; delivery coverage is captured for the platform and hour you book.
Swiggy downtime and availability alerts: Kitchain Alert
Live on Swiggy
Swiggy downtime rarely announces itself. A tablet switched off after a late shift stays off; a stock-out closure is never lifted. Either way the card flips to closed or drops out of search, and head office sees nothing. Swiggy's public listing carries the open or closed state, so Kitchain Alert reads it from outside: every listing checked about every 10 minutes, 24/7, with an alert by Email, WhatsApp or Telegram after a confirmation check, typically 10–20 minutes after an outlet goes offline, and never for a closure your own operating hours explain.
On Swiggy the loss is not only the order: a dark Bolt outlet loses the 10-minute orders that tier exists to win, and Bolt carries over one in ten Swiggy food orders. An outlet left orderable while the kitchen is shut adds restaurant-driven cancellations, a metric Swiggy tracks. Each outage is logged with start, end and duration, and the daily report at 10:00 local time ranks outlets by lost uptime. Alert is live on Swiggy today.

Swiggy rating tracking: Kitchain Rating
Connected on request
On Swiggy a customer sees a rating on a 0–5 scale to one decimal, such as 4.6, beside a bucketed count like 7.5K+ or 10K+, and both sit on the listing card before the menu is ever opened. The count decides how fast the number moves: an outlet with 10K+ ratings absorbs a bad week, a new outlet with a few hundred does not, and a slide from 4.4 to 4.0 across five weeks looks like nothing on any single day. The Partner App centralises ratings and complaints, but what a chain with 80 outlets needs is a daily history across the estate that dates the week a decline began. Kitchain Rating collects the displayed rating and rating count daily per outlet, keeps the history, flags every outlet below the threshold you set and lists the biggest weekly declines. Swiggy rating monitoring is connected on request: tell us the cities and brands and we set it up.

Swiggy promotion monitoring: Kitchain Promo
Connected on request
Swiggy promotions show on the listing card as an offer strip, such as ITEMS AT INR 145, and are largely restaurant-funded through discounts and the self-serve discovery and visibility ad tools in the Partner App. In August 2026, after Bengaluru restaurant associations complained about discounts activated without consent, Swiggy agreed to seek approval before switching promotions on and to refund unapproved campaign charges. That cuts both ways for a chain: an offer you never approved can be live on your outlets, and a campaign you set up centrally can be missing from three outlets after a sync failed, with nothing in your own systems reporting it. Kitchain Promo captures the offers visible on each Swiggy outlet once a day, on the same visit as the availability check, records a no-offer day as a fact, shows what appeared, disappeared or changed value, and benchmarks the competitors visible in the same area. Promo is connected for Swiggy on request; send us the cities and the brands you run there.

Where you rank in the Swiggy listing: Kitchain Visibility
Configured per account
Swiggy's restaurant feed changes with where the customer stands, and the card at that point carries the whole pitch: the rating block, a quoted delivery time such as 20–25 mins, a distance, cost for two, cuisine tags, any offer strip and a bolt! badge on Bolt-eligible outlets. A chain rarely knows its Swiggy listing position, because the app shows only what one phone in one street sees. No promoted or sponsored label was present in a Bengaluru listing sampled in August 2026, which makes position measured before and after a campaign the practical test of whether discovery ads worked. Kitchain Visibility measures where your brand sits from saved map points at set times of day, in the city's timezone, both in the whole feed and within your cuisine, and records the competitor cards above you. This is Swiggy's own ordering of restaurants, not Google SEO. Visibility is configured per account for the Indian cities and platforms you name.

Swiggy delivery coverage by district: Kitchain Coverage
Configured per account
Swiggy publishes no fixed delivery radius. Serviceability is set dynamically per outlet, long-distance orders attract levies that Bengaluru restaurateurs say are deducted from payouts, and the customer's card quotes a delivery time and the distance to the outlet that would serve them. So a Swiggy delivery zone is not a circle a chain can look up; it is whatever the app offers at a given address at a given hour, and it can shrink at Friday dinner, exactly when the outer neighbourhoods order. Kitchain Coverage captures, zone by zone across a city, whether each outlet is orderable on Swiggy and the delivery time the app quotes there, for the hours you book against a monthly allowance, and puts your footprint next to competing brands measured at the same hour. It is not continuous and raises no alerts, and the quoted time is what Swiggy shows, not how long the order took. Coverage runs per account: book the Indian cities, platforms and hours that matter and we measure those.

Frequently asked questions
Does Kitchain need access to our Swiggy Partner App or partner.swiggy.com?
No. Kitchain never signs in to the Swiggy Partner App, partner.swiggy.com, your POS or any middleware, and it cannot open, close or edit an outlet. Everything comes from the outlet's public Swiggy page: the open or closed state, the rating and its count, the offer strip, the quoted time. Setup takes about 10 minutes, one listing URL per outlet.
Can Kitchain show that Swiggy ran a promotion on our outlets without our approval?
Once Promo is connected for your cities, it can show that an offer was visible on an outlet's public card on a given date, which is the kind of evidence the consent process now turns on. Offers are captured once a day per outlet, so one that appears and disappears within a day can be missed, and Kitchain cannot say how a campaign was configured behind the login.
Does this cover Swiggy Instamart, Dineout or Toing as well?
The monitors on this page cover a restaurant outlet's listing on Swiggy food delivery. Instamart is a grocery business run from Swiggy's own dark stores, Dineout is a reservations and dining-out product, and Toing is a separate budget app with its own listings; none of them is the restaurant delivery listing Kitchain checks. If you sell through Toing, ask us about it.
Why might an outlet's Swiggy rating differ from its rating on another platform?
Swiggy carries every order on its own gig fleet of 650,000+ delivery partners, so the courier performance behind a Swiggy rating is not the network the rival app is rated on. Swiggy also shows the count bucketed, 7.5K+ or 10K+, so the same bad fortnight moves a Swiggy number at a different speed from a platform showing an exact count.
Facts about Swiggy are as of August 2026 and drawn from public company and press sources. Markets, ownership and partner tools change; confirm with Swiggy before relying on them. Kitchain is independent of Swiggy and reads only its public customer-facing pages.
