Monitor Your Restaurants on Deliveroo
Deliveroo is the London-founded delivery marketplace that DoorDash bought in October 2025, and as of August 2026 it trades in seven countries across Europe and the Gulf. This page sets out its markets, ownership and restaurant-side tools, then explains how Kitchain watches your Deliveroo listings from the outside: availability, ratings, promotions, menus, listing position and delivery coverage.

What Kitchain watches on Deliveroo
About Deliveroo
Deliveroo was founded in London in 2013 and traded as a listed company from its March 2021 IPO until DoorDash completed an all-cash takeover on 2 October 2025 at 180 pence per share, about GBP 2.9bn. The shares left the London Stock Exchange the next day, Deliveroo plc was renamed Deliveroo Limited, and Wolt co-founder Miki Kuusi became CEO as founder Will Shu stepped down. The Deliveroo brand and app still run in its key markets, but DoorDash is moving the business onto a single DoorDash, Wolt and Deliveroo technology platform, with full rollout expected in the first half of 2027.
In FY2024, its last year of standalone results, Deliveroo handled 296 million orders and GBP 7.4bn of gross transaction value for around 7 million monthly active consumers, with roughly 186,000 restaurant, grocer and retail partners across the markets it served at the time. Restaurants sell through Core Delivery on Deliveroo's own rider fleet, or through Marketplace+ with their own drivers and a self-set delivery radius in five of the seven markets. Grocery and retail are a growing share, with Deliveroo Hop dark stores, supermarket partners and a Deliveroo Shopping range covering beauty, homeware and DIY.
Day to day, a chain runs Deliveroo through Partner Hub: Menu Manager, Live Orders, Site Status for bulk open and close, Marketer Offers and Adverts, and a site dropdown for multi-location operators, with orders taken on a Deliveroo-supplied tablet that is moving to the new Order Manager app. None of that shows what a customer in Manchester or Dubai actually sees on a Friday evening. Kitchain, which monitors 5,000+ restaurants on 40+ platforms in 30+ countries, opens the same public Deliveroo pages a customer opens and records what is there. That outside-in view is the subject of our Deliveroo monitoring guide and of the six sections below.
Where Deliveroo operates
The UK and Ireland are reported together as the UKI segment and remain the largest part of the business, and DoorDash reported Deliveroo's marketplace growth accelerating again in the second quarter of 2026. Six of the seven date from the 2013–2015 build-out; Kuwait, opened in 2019, is the only market added since.
| Country | Since | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | 2013 | Home market; founded in London 2013 |
| Ireland | 2015 | Among the first international launches, April 2015 |
| France | 2015 | Launched April 2015; Uber Eats the main competitor |
| Belgium | 2015 | Site in English, French and Dutch |
| Italy | 2015 | Marketplace+ self-delivery offered to partners |
| United Arab Emirates | 2015 | Launched November 2015; Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ajman |
| Kuwait | 2019 | Launched February 2019; second Gulf market after the UAE |
Deliveroo has also withdrawn from Germany, Taiwan, Spain, the Netherlands, Australia and Hong Kong over the years, and its Singapore and Qatar operations were wound down under DoorDash.
Kitchain on Deliveroo: six monitors, one outside-in method
Kitchain reads the same public Deliveroo pages a customer opens. There is no partner-portal login, no API key and no point-of-sale integration: you give us one listing per location, and each monitor reads what the customer is shown. Availability is checked about every 10 minutes per listing; ratings, promotions and menus are captured daily; listing position is measured at set times of day from real addresses; delivery coverage is captured for the platform and hour you book.
Deliveroo downtime and availability alerts: Kitchain Alert
Live on Deliveroo
Deliveroo downtime rarely announces itself. A site drops off the app when a manager taps Close now in Live Orders and forgets to reopen it, when a scheduled day off is left in place, when the tablet is switched off at close, or when the Are you still there? nudge fires after a run of cancellations. If nobody answers it on the tablet, Deliveroo closes the site automatically. A closed restaurant is not shown as closed to customers; it disappears from the restaurant list entirely, so nothing looks wrong from head office.
Kitchain Alert opens each Deliveroo listing about every 10 minutes, 24/7, and compares what it finds with the opening hours you gave us. A typical alert reaches your team by email, WhatsApp or Telegram 10–20 minutes after a location goes offline, after a confirmation check, and a daily report follows at 10:00 local time. The same checks produced our UAE and Kuwait downtime reports.

Deliveroo rating tracking: Kitchain Rating
Live on Deliveroo
Customers rate each order, and Deliveroo counts those ratings among the signals that order the restaurant list. Deliveroo says it removes reviews that focus on the rider or the delivery rather than the food. A partner reply written in Partner Hub is emailed to the customer rather than shown in the app, so the public number is what most customers act on. A month-long slide therefore costs listing position as well as trust.
Kitchain Rating collects the rating and review count Deliveroo displays for every location once a day and keeps the history: the count decides how hard a rating is to move, 300 reviews absorbing a bad week where 30 do not. You see which sites sit under target, which fell furthest this week, and the date a decline began, so it lines up against a packaging change or a new kitchen lead. Deliveroo rating monitoring here means the public number; we do not read or reply to review text.

Deliveroo promotion monitoring: Kitchain Promo
Live on Deliveroo
Deliveroo promotions are built in Partner Hub as Marketer Offers: a basket discount with a minimum spend, an item discount, free delivery, a free item with purchase, buy-one-get-one-free, Multibuy and Marketer Rewards stamps, aimed at all customers or only at Deliveroo Plus members, students, new customers or lapsed ones. Hub reports menu visits and conversion, not whether the offer label is actually on your card in a given city. An offer that went live on nineteen of twenty sites, or a free delivery banner that vanished after a menu edit, shows up as a quiet week and nothing more.
Once a day, on the visit that checks availability, Kitchain Promo records the promotions a customer can see on each Deliveroo listing, then reports what appeared, disappeared or changed value, alongside the competitors discounting in the same area. Because we read the public page without signing in, offers targeted only at Plus subscribers or lapsed customers may not be visible to us.

Where you rank in the Deliveroo listing: Kitchain Visibility
Configured per account
Deliveroo says its restaurant list is ordered by personalisation, customer ratings, prep times, delivery times, rejected orders and opening hours, and that running Marketer Adverts or Offers raises the chance of a carousel slot; Adverts are cost-per-click placements in homepage carousels, cuisine pages and search results. The consequence is that a Deliveroo listing position is local: a branch can be on the first screen for one postcode and below the fold three streets away, and no advert report tells you which.
Kitchain Visibility measures where your brand sits in the Deliveroo listing from saved map points at set times of day in the city's own timezone, across the whole feed and within your cuisine, and records the competitor cards shown above you with their rating, promotion and quoted delivery time. Positions come from the signed-out listing, so a personalised feed is not reproduced, and none of this is Google SEO. Visibility is configured per account: tell us the cities and platforms and the points are set up.

Deliveroo delivery coverage by district: Kitchain Coverage
Configured per account
On Core Delivery, Deliveroo sets the delivery radius itself and does not publish it, so a chain on Deliveroo's own riders knows its Deliveroo delivery zone only from what customers and branch managers report. On Marketplace+ in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy and Belgium the partner sets the radius, fee and minimum order within Deliveroo's caps, and Fleet Switching can hand all new orders to Deliveroo riders at peak. Either way the customer sees a quoted delivery time on your card, or does not see you at all.
Kitchain Coverage measures, zone by zone, whether your brand can be ordered on Deliveroo and what delivery time is quoted there, captured for the platform and hour you book against a monthly allowance, with the same map for competing brands. It is not continuous and sends no alerts, and the quoted time is what Deliveroo shows rather than the real delivery time. Coverage runs per account for the cities and platforms you name, against the allowance you choose.

Frequently asked questions
Does Kitchain need access to our Deliveroo Partner Hub or tablet?
No. Kitchain has no login to Partner Hub, the Order Manager app, your POS or any middleware, and changes nothing on Deliveroo — it cannot open or close a site. Everything reported is read from the storefront a customer sees. Setup takes about 10 minutes and needs one Deliveroo listing URL or restaurant ID per location per platform; there is no integration to build.
Which Deliveroo markets can Kitchain monitor?
All seven active markets: the UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Italy, the UAE and Kuwait, each on its own consumer site from deliveroo.co.uk to deliveroo.com.kw. Checks follow each location's opening hours and local timezone, so a Kuwait branch and a Dublin branch are quiet at the right times, and a Deliveroo listing is watched alongside the same site's Uber Eats, Just Eat or Talabat listings.
What commission does Deliveroo charge restaurants?
Deliveroo does not publish it. Its own material describes only a service fee on every sale for delivering the order and handling customer service, with terms varying by contract type, number of sites and region. A separate joining fee covers the all-in-one tablet and printer Deliveroo supplies to partners. Kitchain has no view of your commission or fees; what we report is what the listing shows.
Will the DoorDash migration change what Kitchain sees on Deliveroo?
Partner Hub and Order Manager names and features may change as DoorDash completes the migration. Kitchain watches the customer-facing listing rather than the partner tools, so monitoring continues as long as the Deliveroo app and website show a public storefront.
Facts about Deliveroo are as of August 2026 and drawn from public company and press sources. Markets, ownership and partner tools change; confirm with Deliveroo before relying on them. Kitchain is independent of Deliveroo and reads only its public customer-facing pages.
